We've also had some questions about the SMS texting feature in the Rentific app. We want those of you coming over from Sparkrent to know that rent payment reminders can be sent by text message to your renters. Like out rent payment pricing, SMS messaging is free when you use Rentific to pay rent online.
Our SMS text application can be turned on and off in the Dashboard. Our system needs to know what number to send the text message to. So until a user enters their mobile phone number into the phone field in the dashboard, they won't receive any text messages from us. Once a user puts their phone number into the text field, they can "turn on" or "turn off" the text messaging feature.
We know that it is really easy to use text messaging to pay your rent, but we also want to give our users 100% control over this feature. Go ahead and try it! You can always stop it at any time. Of course you can use our mobile enabled web application if you prefer. Whatever works best for you!
